    With the Borough municipal offices right next door to us, the HUB enjoys a strong relationship with our local government, sharing the common goals of caring for the basic needs of our neighbors and celebrating West View as a proud and vibrant community.

  • North Hills School District

    The West View HUB maintains a strong relationship with the North Hills School District, and with our location being a block away from West View Elementary School, we have lots of opportunities to collaborate.

    Our Pass the Class program works closely with the school district to provide academic, social-emotional, and nutritional support to students in need. We also partner with the West View PTA on programming and have hosted the North Hills String Ensemble for performances.

  • North Hills Community Outreach

    The West View HUB is proud to work with such a distinguished organization as North Hills Community Outreach, who have been working to address the needs of community members dealing with crisis, hardship, and poverty since 1987. Representatives from NHCO are regularly on hand at the HUB on Tuesday afternoons to answer questions and assist the needs of HUB visitors.

  • North Hills Cares

    North Hills Cares has been a valuable HUB partner since we opened our doors in 2019. Their goal is to find creative, sustainable solutions to serving the everyday needs of the people of North Hills.

    You can often find North Hills Cares representatives at the HUB throughout the summer providing free lunches and offering nutritional assistance to all who need it.

  • BSA Troop 83

    The West View HUB is the official charter organization for BSA Troop 83, one of the oldest Scout troops in Western Pennsylvania. Troop 83 holds its meetings at West View United Methodist Church.

  • Girl Scout Troop 52418

    Girl Scout Troop 52418 calls the West View HUB their home for regular meetings and activities, and frequently participate in local events to serve the West View community.

  • State Representative Emily Kinkead

    Emily Kinkead represents the Pennsylvania 20th House District, which includes West View.

    She is a powerful voice for our community in Harrisburg and was instrumental in arranging Governor Tom Wolf’s visit to the HUB in 2022.

  • West View Community Association

    The West View Community Association works to bring residents and local businesses together to continue to grow our community and see it thrive.

    WVCA recently hosted a community Holiday Decorations Contest, West View Clean-Up Day, and have been instrumental in various community projects and lobbying local government to make positive changes in our community. They also generously donated a brand-new popcorn machine to the HUB that we use frequently at our events.

    Lindsey Williams represents Pennsylvania’s 38th Senatorial District, and we are proud to call her our neighbor.

  • West View Urban Farm

    West View Urban Farm is the first community-led urban farm in West View. Their goal is to grow food, educate, and share with the community.

  • Steel City Shakespeare Center

    The West View HUB is home to Steel City Shakespeare Center, a professional classical theater company offering stories to engage and inspire the community of West View.

    In addition to staging several mainstage productions a year at HUBWorks or at nearby Bronx Field, they also run the SCSC Youth Academy, providing free educational opportunities for kids of all ages to learn about Shakespeare and theater by taking part in summer camps, workshops, and local competitions.

  • HUBWorks Wizards

    The HUBWorks Wizards are the West View HUB’s own robotics team! Formed in the fall of 2023, this group of dedicated kids took their skills to the Western PA FLL Grand Championships and placed 22nd out of 60 teams competing.

  • Act One Theatre School

    Since 1986, Act One Theatre School has offered Pittsburgh area students the finest foundations in theatre education, providing a comprehensive, student-oriented program that develops skills, fosters creativity and provides success experiences for all involved.

    The HUB offers scholarship opportunities to children in our community who can benefit from Act One’s programs but may not be able to afford the tuition. To inquire about this scholarship program, please email info@westviewhub.org.

  • Brighton Music Center

    Located off of Babcock Boulevard in the North Hills, this Brighton Music Center location is known for it's customer service and satisfaction since 1975 as Pittsburgh’s top provider of musical instruments, band music, and much more.

    Brighton Music Center has been an essential partner in the building out of our HUBWorks Immersive Arts Center, donating instruments and recording equipment, as well as offering free music programs to the community.

  • Farina Foundation

    The Farina Foundation is committed to empowering youth and helping them discover their love of music by providing musical instruments to those in need.

    The Farina Foundation has assisted us in providing music programs in our HUBWorks Immersive Arts Center and hosted musical instrument drives.

  • Literacy Pittsburgh

    Literacy Pittsburgh offers free educational programs for adults and families in Allegheny County and Beaver County. Last year, we helped nearly 3,700 people in the Greater Pittsburgh area improve their reading, writing, math, English language, digital literacy, and workplace skills. Adult literacy classes and tutoring move students from learning to earning and help them succeed as workers, parents, and neighbors.

    Literacy Pittsburgh holds regular training sessions for ESL tutors at the HUB on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

  • Northland Public Library

    Since 1968, Northland Library has been servicing the North Hills with a vast collection of books and literary materials, as well as a wide array of community engagement programs.

    Northland has been an enormously valuable partner in getting the HUB on its feet since opening in 2019, helping us build out our own library collection, as well as providing programs for toddlers and preschoolers.

  • Computer Reach

    Computer Reach is a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit organization that makes technology available to people most in need through refurbished equipment, computer literacy, training, and support.

  • North Hills Art Center

    For over 60 years, the North Hills Art Center has been providing arts education opportunities to children and adults in our community.

    NHAC provided instructors for painting and cartooning camps offered at the HUBWorks Immersive Arts Center in the summer of 2023.
